I'm writing this review having used this product exactly once. I recall using this type of roller as a child, and struggling to figure it out then..... I had, on those grounds, rather hoped this would include son instruction sheet for various effects. Sadly, there is only a sentence or two on theback by way of instruction. However, it wasn't sorely needed (though would be nice!). Someone recommended securing the rollers to each other to prevent flopping around (or flopping in face). I also recommend this. They seen reasonably good quality. All bent easily and help position easily. Were simple to use, confytosleep in sndleft me with LOTS of curl and body. I have waist length fine wavy textures hair (and lots of it!) and I managed withjust one pack of these, however, I think it would be easier with TWO packs and intend to order another. These are 5/8"in diameter, which is smaller than a small hot roller or standard curling iron. So, theseDO create CURL not "body." I've been trying to find curlers soft enough to allow her to sleep on them, yet hard enough to allow for an even curl. Suffice to say these rods do both with style. She complained a little the first night she slept on them, but after she saw the curls, she insisted on having her hair done the second night! Be sure to use styling gel on long hair, though. Also, the rods are easily removed, with very, very few tangles. For now I just want to say that I love this device! It makes drying your hair so easy, and it makes for frizz-free hair. I bought this dryer since I've recently started coaxing out the waves and curls in my hair. Using a diffuser on the end of my blowdryer has helped bring out the curl, but I get impatient with drying, and end up moving the blowdryer around too much, which leads to frizz. Based on research I did online, I learned that dryers like this Hot Tools one are great for curly/wavy hair, and I definitely agree! Using the same products and techniques before drying, I've found that using this Hot Tools dryer leaves me with zero frizz and lovely curls/waves. It has a higher wattage than the other brands of similar dryers, and it looks better too! It is not only beautiful but works FAST! I got it to dry my hair in the morning before work, while I put on my make up. I hate standing with a blow dryer!!! I just pin my hair up with a few big clips and sit under this dryer and by the time my make up is done, my hair is dry. I do still blow dry my bangs first to keep them smooth, but the rest dries in a natural wave due to the gentle air flow from the dryer. It gets really hot, but you can also set it to a lower temp if you want. But I like it hot so my hair dries fast. I also like the fact it is on wheels and easy to roll around and get out of the way. My old drier was the type that sits on a desk and it was a hassle to get to the correct height, this one is easy to move up and down. I bought this because I was tired of using the carrying pouch I had to protect my counter top. The problem with that was that it took up too much room and it was ugly. It was always out because I use my CHI every single day. So, I bought this. It solved all my problems. It suctioned very easily to my marble counter top and it's been there ever since. It hasn't moved at all and I'm not gentle when I'm shoving the iron in and out of it. If you have a CHI that you leave out all the time, this is a must. I wish I would have bought it 3 years ago when I bought my CHI. I hope this helps.
